The resilient puppies, now dubbed Frito, Dorito, Ruffles, and more, are under the watchful care of Chuck & Brenda Silcox Animal Care and Adoption Center. They’re recovering well and will soon be ready to find their forever homes.
One of the officers involved, Officer Haley Drew, can’t help but fall in love with these adorable scamps. Her colleague, Collin Stephenson, has already expressed interest in adopting one. It’s a heartwarming testament to the bond between humans and animals, even in the face of such cruelty.
